Values are considered as a historically established system that defines the cultural, ideological and behavioral foundations of society. The focus is on the genesis of value concepts, their modern perception in Russia, the specifics of the value system of Russian civilization and the mechanisms of values‘ rooting in everyday life. Special attention is paid to the transition from declarations to their implementation in social practices, institutions and attitudes.
