Ottisk magazine publishes original scientific articles in the fields of philosophy, history and political science. Materials that meet the following criteria are accepted for publication:
  • scientific novelty and relevance;
  • theoretical and/or practical significance;
  • compliance with the journal's subject matter;
  • correctness of the scientific apparatus and source base;
  • compliance with the norms of academic integrity.
The manuscript should not have been previously published or under consideration in other publications.
The author guarantees:
  • the originality of the submitted material;
  • the consent of all co-authors to the publication;
  • the reliability of the data and the correctness of borrowings.
Length of the article: up to 40,000 characters with spaces (including metadata, abstract, and references). An increase in the volume is allowed in agreement with the editorial board.
The main language of publication: Russian.
It is mandatory to provide a complete set of metadata in Russian and English.
All incoming manuscripts undergo a multi-stage evaluation procedure:
  • editorial review;
  • check for borrowings;
  • scientific review;
  • editorial revision (if necessary).
  • The primary stage includes:
    • checking the completeness of materials;
    • compliance with the subject of the journal;
    • compliance with design requirements.
    The journal uses a double-blind peer review procedure. The review is carried out by independent experts, taking into account the exclusion of conflicts of interest. Based on the results of the review, one of the following decisions is made:
    • accept for publication;
    • accept with revision;
    • send for re-review;
    • reject.
    The editorial board reserves the right to reject an article at any stage if it does not meet the requirements. The deadline for reviewing a manuscript depends on the complexity of the review and averages from 20 days.
    The editorial board adheres to international standards of publication ethics. The following are invalid:
    • plagiarism;
    • self-plagiarism;
    • fabrication and falsification of data;
    • unfair borrowing;
    • duplicate publications;
    • concealment of conflicts of interest.
    All materials are checked in the Anti-Plagiarism system. The recommended level of originality is at least 80%. The acceptable level of self—citation is no more than 25% and only as an element of scientific continuity. The use of artificial intelligence is allowed only as an auxiliary. The author is obliged to disclose the fact of its use. Full responsibility for the content of the text lies with the author. Grounds for rejection or return of the manuscript:
    • high level of borrowings;
    • violation of publication ethics;
    • incomplete or incorrect metadata;
    • non-compliance with scientific requirements;
    • parallel submission to other publications.
    The author is obliged to disclose the existence or absence of a conflict of interest.
    1 Block of metadata 1.1. The title of the article
    • informative;
    • reflects the content of the study;
    • without metaphors and undisclosed abbreviations.
    1.2. Author(s) For each author, the following are indicated:
    • Full name (in Russian and English);
    • academic degree and title;
    • position;
    • ORCID iD.
    1.3. Affiliation It is indicated in a single format in Russian and English without abbreviations and indicating the city and country. Example: Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia 1.4. Contact information
    • the author's email;
    • , if necessary, the corresponding author.
    2 Abstract and keywords Abstract:
    • volume: 1000-1500 characters (200-250 words);
    • in Russian and English;
    • should reflect the purpose of the research, methodology, scientific novelty, and main results.
    Keywords:
    • 5-10 words or phrases;
    • in Russian and English.
    3 Structure of the article Recommended structure:
    • title;
    • information about the author(s);
    • abstract;
    • keywords;
    • introduction;
    • problem statement;
    • methodology;
    • main part;
    • results;
    • discussion;
    • conclusion;
    • references;
    • information about financing/ conflict of interest.
    4 Text formatting File format: .doc / .docx Parameters:
    • font: Times New Roman;
    • size: 14 pt;
    • line spacing: 1.5;
    • margins: 2.5 cm;
    • paragraph indentation: 1.25 cm;
    • alignment: width;
    • mandatory page numbering.
    Additionally:
    • italics are allowed;
    • underscores and excessive formatting are not allowed;
    • the text must be logically structured.
    5 References and references Registration is in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5–2008. Requirements:
    • all sources should be quoted in the text;
    • the list of references should be complete and correct;
    • if available, DOI should be indicated.
    It is recommended to prepare a list of References in English for international indexing. 6 Illustrations and tables Requirements:
    • all elements must be numbered and mentioned in the text;
    • each table and figure must have a name.
    Tables:
    • executed in Word;
    • the name is placed above the table.
    Images:
    • image caption;
    • minimum quality — 300 dpi;
    • formats: TIFF, PNG, JPEG.
    7 DOIs and identifiers
    • The DOI of the article is assigned by the editorial board;
    • the author is obliged to indicate the DOI of sources in the list of references (if available);
    • specifying the ORCID is strongly recommended.
    8 Additional terms and license By sending the material to the editorial office, the author confirms that:
    • the article has not been published before and has not been submitted to other publications;
    • all data is reliable;
    • the rights of third parties are respected;
    • all necessary metadata is provided.
    The author grants the editorial board the right:
    • scientific and literary text editing;
    • publications in printed and electronic versions;
    • placement in scientific databases and indexing systems;
    • assignment of DOI and dissemination of metadata.
    The publication is carried out under a non-exclusive license. Additionally, the author agrees with:
    • translation of metadata into English;
    • inclusion of the article in international databases and repositories.
