What materials does the magazine accept?
OTTISK publishes original research articles, essays, reviews, interviews and materials from round tables in the field of humanities. We welcome interdisciplinary works, cultural notes and texts that offer a new understanding of the current phenomena of our time.
How to arrange a manuscript?
The article should be prepared in accordance with the author’s requirements: Times New Roman font, 12 size, 1.5 interval, volume from 15 to 40 thousand characters. It is mandatory to have an abstract (up to 500 characters), keywords, and a bibliography designed according to GOST or APA. Files are accepted in .docx format.
How does the review process work?
All submitted articles are subject to double-blind peer review by experts from the editorial board. The review period is up to 4 weeks. The author receives anonymous reviews and recommendations: accept for publication, finalize or reject the material. The editorial board’s decision is final.
Who retains the copyright?
The author reserves the rights to the text, transferring to the journal the non-exclusive right to the first publication and distribution of the material in printed and electronic form. All materials are distributed under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, unless otherwise specified.
How long does it take to publish?
It takes an average of 2-3 months from the submission of a manuscript to publication, depending on the loading of the issue and the need to finalize the text. The author is personally informed about the exact dates after the article is accepted for production.
Is there a publication fee?
Publication in the OTTISK magazine is free for authors. The editorial board does not charge a fee for submitting, reviewing, or posting materials. The magazine is supported through partner programs and institutional support.
How is academic ethics ensured?
OTTISK strictly adheres to the principles of publication ethics. All materials are checked for originality. Plagiarism, data fabrication and copyright infringement are grounds for rejecting the manuscript and informing the author’s institution.
Is it possible to submit an article in another language? Yes, the journal accepts materials in Russian and English. Foreign language articles are subject to mandatory peer review by native speakers. If necessary, the editorial staff helps with linguistic editing before publication.
