The role of Russia in the CIS and Greater Eurasia is considered through its contribution to the development of the post-Soviet region and possible models for the future of this space. The article analyzes Russia‘s cooperation with the CIS countries, the potential of Russia, China and Turkey in Central Asia, as well as socio–political and futurological scenarios for the future of Russia and the Eurasian macroregion.
